Berry Hill Plantation Resort, built in 1842 as part of a 105,000 acre tobacco plantation, has been restored to its orginial grandeur, but with state-of-the-art amenities and first-class activities. Grand opening is June 2005. Located in southern Virginia near the North Carolina border, Berry Hill is 1.5 hours from Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The restored mansion and 92 deluxe guestrooms offer wired and wireless 10/100 Ethernet LAN connectivity. All guestrooms feature hardwood floors and Italian canopy beds and offer premium amenities like towel warmers, robes and in-room safes, along with standard amenities like dual line telephones, cable television with pay-per-view movies, coffee makers, hairdryers, iron/ironing boards.     From RDU: Take I-40 West to Hwy 147 North/Durham Freeway (Exit 279B). Continue several miles on Hwy 147/Durham Freeway to Exit 12C (Duke Street). Continue 2 miles through town and a residential area. Duke Street will turn into Hwy 501 North. Take Hwy 501 North to South Boston. At the 1st intersection in South Boston (Hwy 58 / Hwy 501), continue on Hwy 501 North for 4.3 miles. At the 6th stoplight, turn left onto Hwy 654/Greens Folly Road. Continue straight for 2.1 miles (Hwy 654 turns into 659) until you reach River Road (Hwy 659). Turn right onto River Road and continue for 1 mile. Resort on the left. From Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Alton, VA: Turn left out of the main entrance of VIR onto Sunset Road and continue approximately 4 miles to Hwy 119. Turn left onto Hwy 119 and continue approximately 3.5 miles to Hwy 58. Turn right onto Hwy 58 East and continue approximately 16 miles to Hwy 501. At the first intersection/stop light in South Boston (Intersection of Hwy 58/Hwy 501), take a left onto Hwy 501 North. Continue on Hwy 501 North for 4.3 miles. At the 6th stop light turn left onto Greens Folly Road (Hwy 654). Continue for 2.1 miles (Hwy 654 turns n to 659) until you reach River Road (Hwy 659) on your right. Turn right onto River Road. Continue 1 mile and resort is on the left. From Roxboro, NC: Take Hwy 501 North to South Boston. At the 1st intersection in South Boston (Hwy 58 / Hwy 501), continue on Hwy 501 North for 4.3 miles. At the 6th stoplight, turn left onto Hwy 654/Greens Folly Road. Continue straight for 2.1 miles (Hwy 654 turns into 659) until you reach River Road (Hwy 659). Turn right onto River Road and continue for 1 mile to resort on the left. From Lynchburg, VA (60 miles) Take US 29 South to US 501 South. In Halifax, turn right onto US 501 South. At the second stoplight, turn right onto Greens Folly Road (Hwy. 654). Continue straight for 2.1 miles (Hwy. 654 turn into Hwy. 659) until you reach River Road (Hwy. 659). Turn right onto River Road and continue for 1 mile to resort on the left. From Richmond, VA (via I-95/Hwy 360) Take I-64 West to the Powhite Parkway South (Rte 76). Exit onto Route 288 and continue to the Hull Street/Route 360 West exit. Take Route 360 West to South Boston. Approximately 8 miles north of South Boston, you come to a traffic light (Short Stop Gas Station on the right). Go through this light and continue 6 miles to the next light, which is Hamilton Boulevard. Turn right onto Hamilton Boulevard and continue 2 miles to the 2nd light, which is Hwy 501. Turn right onto Hwy 501 North and continue 2 miles to the 3rd traffic light. Turn left onto Greens Folly Road (Hwy 654). Continue straight for 2.1 miles (Hwy 654 turns into 659) until you reach River Road (Hwy 659). Turn right onto River Road and continue for 1 mile to resort on the left.
